Abstract:
The market of the mobile platforms is fragmented. Each mobile OS comes with it's own SDK and APIs. This session will cover the basics of PhoneGap (Apache Callback) - which is an open-source framework for building cross-platform mobile apps using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. PhoneGap currently supports popular smartphone platforms like Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Symbian, WebOS and Windows Mobile. Apps developed using PhoneGap can use native device capabilities like camera, GPS & local storage and can be distributed on the respective app-stores too.
