Mishi Choudhary is the Executive Director of Software Freedom Law Center (sflc.in) based in New Delhi. sflc.in is a legal services organization which brings together legal and technical expertise in Free and Open Source Software usage, development and deployment involving copyrights, patents, trademarks, nonprofit governance, Open Source licensing compliance and training. sflc.in counsels its clients on the big picture, beyond today's specific problems, helping them reach their long-term goals safely and efficiently while also ensuring the production of great software. She is also the Director of International Practice at Software Freedom Law Center, New York. A one of its kind organization led by Prof. Eben Moglen, co-author of GPLv3 and a leading expert on Free and Open Source Software. Mishi holds an LLM from Columbia Law School where she was a Stone Scholar. Prior to joining SFLC, Mishi was a litigator in different chambers in India with areas of practice covering Corporate and Commercial Law, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, Property Law, Information Technology Law, Trademarks and Copyrights, Constitutional and Administrative Law. In addition to her LLM, she has an LLB degree and a bachelors degree in political science from the University of Delhi, India. Mishi is a member of the Bar Council of Delhi and is licensed to appear in the State of New York.
