Abstract: 
IPMI is open source tool with which the BMC(Board Management controller) can be managed and controlled from in-band and out-of-band. Out-Band ipmi tool will greatly help in analyzing the remotely located server status and issues. The more information includes are how the Dell is contributing to the open source for ipmitool and how the ipmitool used extensively with the Dell servers.
