Abstract:
The Linux kernel and distributions based on the same are extremely widespread and find application in all possible computation domains in today's world. Furthermore the Linux adoption grows at at the ever increasing pace. In this paper we discuss some methods for improving and/or optimising the performance of the system running a Linux kernel. We will try to keep the focus towards high performance/low latency computing domain and suggest some improvements using which the systems in some cases can achieve considerable benefits. We also will support some of the improvement suggestions with data collected using sample use cases and demo implementations.
