Abstract: 
Enterprise applications on the cloud pose great challenges on distributed data management, especially with respect to performance and scalability. File systems plays an important role in addressing some of the issues. This talk will introduce the popular open source file system pNFS with characteristics favorable for cloud computing requirements and also highlights about areas could be improved. We will also highlight the performance numbers captured using different layouts of pNFS. Prior knowledge on Filesystem, Cloud computing would be useful
